Delicious caramelised pumpkin seeds, juicy sun-ripened raisins, hazelnuts and almonds on a bed of carrot cake made with dried orange peel.
As with our Almond Biscuits with Bitter Orange, we also used almond oil when making the dough for these biscuits. If you haven’t yet tried using olive oils or fragrant oils in your dough making in place of some of the required butter or margarine, then we would highly recommend it. Not only is it a healthier way to prepare your dough but it’s also delicious, giving the dough a unique taste and texture.
A great snack anytime, whether for breakfast or at break time with a cup of tea! For other fun ways to try them, try breaking them up into chunks and enjoying them with yogurt or ice-cream. Or spread with one of your favourite jams is also pretty tasty!
